DTA AI architecture: connect governance requirements with technical evidence

DTA’s AI Reference Architecture connects governance with data, model, supplier and lifecycle decisions.

DTA provides a shared structure for documenting AI systems across government. Its official download is marked updated 23 October 2026; the attached weekly briefing’s 30 October date is not used as a verified publication date.

For a scoped use case, NORMIX recommends linking each chosen architecture requirement to a control, technical owner, acceptance test and evidence location. Retain data and model lineage, supplier dependencies, human intervention and safe fallback arrangements.

AIRA does not replace applicable policies or prescribe one product or solution. Do not treat it as a blanket legal obligation for NSW agencies, councils or private businesses. Technical implementation stays with the client’s technology team.
